Beekaylon Synthetics Pvt Ltd is a leading yarn manufacturer known for its innovative and sustainable synthetic yarns. With products like Dope-Dyed, and Recycled Yarns, the company serves apparel, home textiles.

TexMart : Could you brief us about Beekaylon Synthetics?

Shohin Khemani : Founded in 1979, Beekaylon Synthetics Pvt Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-quality synthetic yarns in India. Over four decades, the company has evolved into one of the largest producers of dope-dyed and specialty polyester yarns in India.

With a strong foothold in both domestic and international markets, Beekaylon offers a wide portfolio—from PET Chips, POY and FDY to DTY, ATY, twisted and heatset yarns, and high-performance BCF yarns—serving sectors such as fashion, automotive, home furnishings, and technical textiles.

TM: What are your company’s principles, mission & vision?

SK : Beekaylon’s core values are rooted in Quality, Customer Focus, Innovation, Integrity, and Accountability. The mission is to deliver high-performance, eco-conscious yarn solutions that meet global standards, while the vision is to become the most trusted and innovative synthetic yarn manufacturer, contributing to a sustainable textile future.

TM: How did Beekaylon transition from polyester filament yarns to industry-leading dope-dyed and BCF yarn production?

SK : Beekaylon’s transition was driven by a forward-looking approach and commitment to technological upgradation. By setting up our Continuous Polymerization Plant as well as scaling up our dope-dyed yarn segment and investing in BCF yarn capabilities, the company tapped into high-value markets such as carpets and automotive interiors, while offering unmatched shade consistency and customization.

TM: Can you list your key yarn products and their core applications?

SK : Beekaylon’s key yarn categories include:

  • Dope-Dyed POY, FDY, DTY used in garments, furnishings, hosiery and home textiles
  • BCF Yarns primarily for carpets, rugs, and automotive flooring
  • Air Textured Yarns (ATY)
  • Twisted Yarns
  • Recycled Yarns (Poly-Go-Round) – for sustainable fashion and accessories
  • Puriflex – antimicrobial yarns for hygiene, medical, and sportswear
  • Flexilastic – ultra-stretch yarns for activewear and narrow fabrics
  • Motofibre – engineered yarns for automotive applications
  • Ciclo – Biodegradable Yarns.

TM: Can you describe the role of your in-house R&D labs?

SK : Beekaylon’s in-house R&D and pilot lines for DTY and BCF play a crucial role in quality control, shade development, and product innovation. These facilities enable testing, prototyping, and client-specific customization, ensuring technical excellence and consistent output.

TM: How are CiCLO and rPET yarns adding value?

SK : At Beekaylon, sustainability is a core priority, and our innovations in CiCLO® and rPET yarns are aligned with this vision. Our CiCLO® yarns are embedded with an advanced technology that allows synthetic fibres like polyester to biodegrade in environments where traditional synthetics persist for decades.

Similarly, rPET yarns, produced under our Poly-go-round brand, are made from post-consumer PET bottles and yarn waste. These recycled yarns offer the same performance, durability, and quality as virgin polyester while drastically reducing the carbon footprint and dependence on fossil fuels. With GRS certification and circular production processes, these yarns directly contribute to reducing plastic waste and promoting circularity in textiles.

TM: How does Beekaylon tailor yarns for diverse applications globally?

SK : With exports spanning over 30 plus countries, Beekaylon understands regional demands and compliance needs. Our automotive and carpet specific yarns meet rigorous abrasion standards, while fashion yarns emphasize feel and color vibrancy. The company’s diverse product portfolio ensures precise application fit.

TM: Which customer-driven innovations have emerged recently?

SK : Shade control in dope-dyed yarns, recycled and biodegradable yarn integration, and improved stretch-recovery through Flexilastic are some examples. Customers are increasingly asking for durability and sustainability, which Beekaylon delivers through innovation-led R&D.

TM: How do you balance innovation with scalability?

SK : Beekaylon integrates innovation early in the production process and leverages its CP, POY and FDY plants to scale new products without compromising on consistency. Continuous investment in human expertise, technology automation and pilot plants ensures smoother transitions from lab to mass scale.

TM: How will backward integration via CP impact competitiveness?

SK : Beekaylon’s Continuous Polymerization plant gives it end-to-end control—from chips to yarn—enhancing product consistency, shade precision, and cost efficiency. This backward integration ensures faster turnaround and reduced dependency on external suppliers.

TM: What strategic initiatives have scaled your BCF yarn production?

SK : Strategic investments in German BCF machinery and high-capacity twisting lines have helped scale operations. Hiring an experienced team as well as training our young members has helped in ensuring we stay ahead of the game. Partnerships with global agents and clients in automotive and flooring sectors have also driven capacity growth.

TM: How is Beekaylon setting new standards in yarn production?

SK : Beekaylon has promoted dope-dyeing and BCF yarns at scale in India. It continues to invest in anti-bacterial, recycled, biodegradable and UV-resistant yarns. Brands like Puriflex, Flexilastic, and Poly-Go-Round reflect its tech-forward approach.
