Circ & Acegreen Partner to Boost Textile Recycling Efforts

Collaboration Aims to Drive Growth of Recycled Lyocell and Polyester Fibers .Circ, a pioneering textile-to-textile recycling innovator, has announced a long-term partnership with Acegreen Eco-Material Technology Co.,

A subsidiary of Taiwan-based Acelon Chemicals & Fiber Corporation, to establish a commercial agreement that will accelerate the adoption of circular materials in the textile industry. Through this partnership, Acegreen has committed to purchasing Circ’s recycled pulp and polyester, marking a significant step toward scaling the supply of sustainable fibers and reinforcing the industry’s transition toward a circular economy.

Under the agreement, Acegreen has made a commitment to purchase Circ’s pulp over 5 years from Circ’s first commercial-scale facility. The recycled pulp will be utilized in the production of pre-specified lyocell fibers, enabling brands to integrate high-quality recycled materials into their supply chains. Additionally, Acegreen’s parent company, Acelon, has made a commitment to procure Circ Polyester over the same five-year period to support polyester filament production, further diversifying the application of Circ’s recycled materials.

Acegreen is at the forefront of sustainable fiber production, utilizing advanced technologies to create high-performance fibers that meet the growing demand for eco-friendly materials in the fashion industry. They have maintained 2023 and 2024  Dark Green Shirt ranking on Canopy’s annual Hot Button report, further validating their commitment to forest-friendly MMCF practices. By sourcing Circ’s recycled pulp and polyester, Acegreen continues to expand its portfolio of sustainable solutions, ensuring its products contribute to the development of a more sustainable and circular textile industry.

As global demand for recycled materials continues to outpace supply, strategic partnerships between innovators and fiber producers are crucial to scaling sustainable solutions. By committing to the purchase of Circ’s recycled pulp and polyester, Acegreen ensures its customers have access to high-quality circular materials, supporting brands and manufacturers in reducing their environmental footprint and advancing their sustainability goals.

Circ and Acegreen’s partnership underscores their shared vision of reducing fashion waste and creating a closed-loop system for textiles. Both companies are committed to pioneering advancements in material recycling, ensuring that fibers and filaments produced from Circ’s recycled inputs set new benchmarks for sustainability in the industry.
