Strata Geosystems Enters Non-Woven Geotextiles Segment with Venus Interlinings Acquisition
Strata Geosystems expands into non-woven geotextiles through the acquisition of Venus Interlinings, strengthening its technical textiles portfolio.

Strata Geosystems (India) Pvt. Ltd. has announced the acquisition of Venus Interlinings, marking its official entry into the non-woven geotextiles segment and strengthening its position in engineered textile solutions.

The deal, structured through a combination of cash and equity, enables Strata to gain access to a modern manufacturing facility along with advanced technical expertise in non-woven geotextiles. This strategic move is expected to enhance Strata’s vertically integrated operations and support faster innovation across its geosynthetic and engineered textile product portfolio.

Established in 1995 by R.R. Taparia, Venus Interlinings has built a strong presence in the technical textiles and non-woven geotextiles market. The company has developed long-standing partnerships with key industry players, government project contractors and export businesses. Under the new arrangement, Ravi Taparia will continue to lead the company, ensuring stability in leadership, operational continuity and preservation of its established business culture.

Ravi Taparia highlighted that since its founding in 1995, the company has focused on maintaining strong ethical values, consistent product quality and customer-centric innovation. He noted that joining hands with Strata will help strengthen this legacy while promoting sustainable and collaborative growth.

According to Gautam Dalmia, the acquisition supports Strata’s broader global growth strategy through both organic expansion and strategic investments. He emphasized that Venus Interlinings’ manufacturing strength and expertise in the non-woven segment complement Strata’s focus on innovation, quality standards and long-term value creation. The integration is expected to open new avenues for growth and further enhance the company’s international footprint.

Headquartered in India, Strata Geosystems manufactures and supplies geosynthetic and engineered textile solutions widely used in infrastructure development, environmental projects and industrial applications. Its product range includes solutions for soil reinforcement, erosion prevention, slope stabilisation, landfill engineering and ground improvement.
