TexMart : What motivated the establishment of Tex Tech Industries, especially focusing on textile machine components like Nippers, Gearbox Parts, and Comber Spares?

S.Malligarajunan : Tex Tech Industries was founded with a vision to provide world-class textile machine components at a competitive price without compromising on quality. Our founder, S. Srinivasan, was motivated by the need to localize high-precision spare parts manufacturing in India, reducing dependence on imports while ensuring consistent performance for textile mills.

TM: How has your origin in Coimbatore influenced the company’s identity and commitment to textile manufacturing excellence?

SM : Being based in Coimbatore, the Manchester of South India, shaped our identity deeply. The city’s strong textile ecosystem, skilled workforce and industrial infrastructure inspired us to focus on innovation, precision and customer-centric service. This environment cultivated our commitment to excellence in textile spares manufacturing sector.

TM: Was there a pivotal early milestone or client that significantly shaped Tex Tech’s direction?

SM: Yes, one of the defining milestones in our early journey was the indigenous development and supply of nipper assemblies for imported comber machines. At a time when mills relied heavily on costly European imports, Tex Tech successfully engineered and delivered high-quality replacements tailored to local needs. The first supplies went to a reputed mill group, whose positive feedback validated our capabilities and gave us immense confidence. That moment not only cemented our reputation for precision and reliability but also set the foundation for expanding into a wider portfolio of textile machine spares and retrofit solutions.

TM: Can you describe your key products, such as Nipper Rieter Combers, Bottom Fluted Rollers, Universal Joint Shafts and what differentiates them in terms of performance or durability?

SM : Our key products like Retrofit Kits, Nipper Assemblies, Circular Comb Brushes, Circular Combs, Spools, etc. offer excellent performance due to our rigorous selection of our raw materials that undergo metallurgical testing for every batch. Our products are differentiated by high wear resistance, precision machining, and reliable performance, minimizing downtime for mills. What sets us apart is micron-level precision, durability under heavy load and consistent tolerance control.

TM: What standards of material (steel, cast aluminium, etc.) and precision do you apply when manufacturing critical components like gearboxes and gland parts?

SM : At Textech Industries, we use high grade alloy steel and cast aluminium for critical components like gearboxes and gland parts. All parts are CNC machined to tight tolerances and undergo strict quality inspections to ensure durability, precision and reliable performance.

TM: How do you incorporate automation, CNC machining, or special finishing processes to ensure product consistency?

SM: We incorporate advanced CNC machining and automated processes to achieve high precision and repeatability. Special finishing treatments and thorough inspections ensure consistent quality and optimal performance across all components.

TM: What new demands are you seeing from textile mills (domestic/international) that are driving component innovation at Tex Tech?

SM : Textile mills are increasingly demanding higher-speed, energy-efficient and low-maintenance components. At Textech, this drives us to innovate with lightweight designs, precision engineering and advanced material coatings to enhance durability and machine performance.

TM: Which segments, ring spinning, combers, winding, or knitting, show the most demand growth for your spare parts?

SM: We are observing the highest demand growth in the ring spinning and winding segments, driven by the need for durable, low-maintenance spare parts that support higher production efficiency.

TM: Have you formed any technical collaborations or customer feedback loops to innovate component design (e.g. for reducing neps, improving fibre grip, etc.)?

SM: Yes, we actively collaborate with customers and incorporate their feedback into our designs. This helps us optimize components to reduce neps, improve fibre grip and enhance overall machine efficiency.

TM: What strategies have you followed to maintain competitive pricing while ensuring high product quality?

SM: We maintain competitive pricing by optimizing manufacturing processes, leveraging automation, and sourcing high-quality materials efficiently, while rigorous quality checks ensure reliability and performance are never compromised.

TM: What operational bottlenecks have you encountered in scaling your component manufacturing and how have you addressed them?

SM : The main bottlenecks were machine capacity limits and supply chain delays. We addressed these by investing in automated CNC systems, streamlining production workflows and building strong supplier partnerships to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality.

TM: Could you share an example where a strategic decision (e.g., diversification of components, bulk orders) led to significant business growth?

SM: For example, by diversifying into high-demand ring spinning and winding components and securing bulk supply contracts with major textile mills, we significantly increased revenue and strengthened long-term customer relationships.

TM: How has the adoption of precision CNC machining, gear tooth optimization, or advanced material coatings impacted the quality and lifespan of textile components in India?

SM : Precision CNC machining, optimized gear profiles, and advanced material coatings have greatly improved component accuracy, wear resistance and lifespan, resulting in more reliable textile machinery and reduced maintenance for our clients in India.

TM: Are you integrating digital tools or quality control techniques (e.g. measuring tooth geometry, dynamic balancing) to ensure reliability for textile machine spares?

SM : Yes, we use digital measurement tools, dynamic balancing and precise inspection of gear and component geometry to ensure consistent quality, reliability and optimal performance of our textile machine spares. international markets by supplying high-quality, precision-engineered components to global textile mills.

TM: Are you exploring new textile machine parts (for newer machines or technologies) or entering overseas markets to expand your business footprint?

SM : Yes, we are continuously developing components for newer textile machines and advanced technologies. Simultaneously, we are expanding into international markets to increase our global footprint and serve textile mills worldwide with high-quality, reliable components.

TM: What are your growth projections for Tex Tech over the next 5 to 10 years in terms of product range, capacity or export markets?

SM : Over the next 5 to 10 years, Textech aims to expand our product range across all textile machine segments, increase manufacturing capacity with advanced automation, and strengthen our presence in through strict adherence to safety protocols and training programs. We follow environmental regulations in our manufacturing processes and source metals responsibly from certified suppliers, balancing sustainability with high-quality production standards.

TM: What initiatives do you have for skill development, local employment, or supporting the textile ecosystem in and around Coimbatore?

SM : Textech invests in skill development programs and on-the-job training to empower local talent. We prioritize local employment and actively support the textile ecosystem in Coimbatore by collaborating with mills, suppliers, and technical institutions to strengthen industry growth.

TM: Has Tex Tech received certifications, awards, or recognitions for quality, export performance, or innovation that you’d like to highlight?

SM : We actively participate in international trade events and focus on continuous innovation to deliver high-performance textile machinery components.
