Trident Group Unveils Major ₹5,000 Crore Expansion Plan
Chandigarh: Trident Group has announced a major investment plan worth ₹5,000 crore in the state of Punjab over the next two years, reinforcing its long-term commitment to regional industrial growth.

The announcement was made by Rajinder Gupta during the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026, a key platform aimed at attracting large-scale investments into the state.

According to the company, the proposed investment will primarily focus on expanding its textile manufacturing capabilities, a sector in which Trident is already a prominent player. The move is expected to significantly boost production capacity while strengthening Punjab’s position as a textile hub in India.

In addition to industrial expansion, the project is projected to create substantial employment opportunities. Company officials indicated that over 10,000 jobs could be generated, with a strong emphasis on inclusive hiring, including opportunities for women in the workforce.

Speaking at the event, Gupta highlighted Punjab’s improving industrial ecosystem and supportive policy environment as key factors behind the company’s decision. The state government has been actively promoting itself as an investment destination through infrastructure development and investor-friendly initiatives.

The announcement comes amid a broader wave of investment commitments made during the summit, reflecting renewed industry confidence in Punjab’s economic potential.

With this investment, Trident Group is set to play a pivotal role in driving economic growth, employment generation, and industrial development in the region over the coming years.
