KARL MAYER Opens New Textile Innovation Center

KARL MAYER has inaugurated its new Textile Innovation Center (TIC) in Obertshausen, Germany, marking a major step toward advancing global textile innovation.

The state-of-the-art facility brings together the company’s core technologies, including warp knitting, technical textiles, and warp preparation, creating a centralized hub for research, development, and collaboration. The initiative highlights KARL MAYER’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting customers in developing next-generation textile solutions.

Designed as a collaborative ecosystem, the TIC enables textile manufacturers, brands, and fiber producers to work closely with experts, transforming ideas into market-ready textile products. The center also features a modern showroom, sample archive, and advanced machinery to support experimentation and product development.

Spanning nearly 5,000 square meters, the innovation center aims to become a global meeting point for the textile industry, fostering knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation across the entire value chain. The facility will also host training programs through the KARL MAYER Academy, helping professionals upgrade their technical expertise.

The grand opening, held from April 21–24, 2026, includes guided tours, expert sessions, and live demonstrations, showcasing new textile applications and future-ready solutions. This development positions KARL MAYER as a key driver in shaping the future of the textile industry.
