Grundfos launches its Intelligent Experience Centre in India, advancing smart water solutions and digital innovation in the industrial sector.
Grundfos, a global leader in energy-efficient water solutions, has announced the launch of the Grundfos Intelligent Experience Centre (GIEC) in Chennai. The new centre represents a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and customer-focused transformation across the water ecosystem in India.
Designed as an immersive, technology-driven demonstration hub, the GIEC proposes the entire water lifecycle — from intake and treatment to distribution, industrial processing, cooling, wastewater transfer and reuse. The centre highlights how Grundfos’ advanced pumps, digital platforms, smart controllers and monitoring technologies enhance efficiency, resilience and measurable sustainability outcomes across industries, commercial buildings, utilities and residential applications.
Positioned as a flagship capability centre for India, GIEC will function as a platform for live demonstrations, application optimization, customer engagement, solution mapping and industry-wide knowledge exchange. By replicating real-world water flows across industrial, commercial, domestic and utility segments, the facility enables stakeholders to understand how intelligent water solutions improve reliability, cost efficiency and operational performance.
The centre is designed to support a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including end-users, OEMs, policymakers, consultants, contractors, facility managers and sustainability leaders. It aims to help them make informed, future-ready decisions based on transparent performance insights. According to Usha Subramaniam, Country President – India at Grundfos, the convergence of innovation, sustainable design and digital management can create meaningful impact.
She stated that the Chennai-based GIEC will demonstrate the company’s capability to play a key role in India’s transition toward smarter and more resilient water systems. With India advancing rapidly in industrial transformation, the new centre aligns with the country’s focus on circularity, decarbonization, water efficiency and digitalization.
GIEC is designed to foster collaboration and help industries achieve more with fewer resources by reducing water waste, lowering energy consumption and ensuring system reliability through intelligent, adaptive pumping technologies.
