Sanathan Textiles Doubles Technical Yarn Capacity to 18,000 MTPA at Silvassa Facility

Sanathan Textiles Ltd. is set to double the technical textiles yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility from 9,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 18,000 MTPA, with commercial production scheduled to commence in August.

The company stated that the expansion project has entered its final phase. Civil construction has been completed, all major machinery has been installed, and commissioning of the upgraded facility is expected next month.

The capacity expansion is designed to strengthen Sanathan Textiles‘ integrated manufacturing capabilities and support rising demand for technical textile yarns in both domestic and international markets.

The technical yarn produced at the Silvassa plant serves a wide range of high-value industries, including automotive, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, roads and railways, healthcare, sportswear, industrial safety, and fire-retardant protective clothing.

Strategically located near major western ports, the Silvassa manufacturing unit enables efficient supply to domestic and export customers while complementing the company’s production operations in Punjab.

The expansion follows a strong financial performance in FY26, with standalone revenue from operations increasing to ₹3,037.9 crore, compared to ₹2,996.8 crore in FY25. Net profit also grew 10% year-on-year to ₹191.9 crore, reflecting continued growth in the company’s textile business.
