Le Merite Exports Enters Technical Textile Park Development Segment
Le Merite Exports Limited (LMEL) has incorporated Le Merite Torna Technical Textile Park Private Limited as an associate company to develop an integrated technical textile park, marking its entry into the technical textiles infrastructure segment.
The newly incorporated company will focus on planning, developing and operating an integrated technical textile park equipped with essential infrastructure, including utilities, logistics facilities, research and development (R&D) and testing centres, as well as worker amenities.
The entity will also undertake site preparation, construction, operation and maintenance of common infrastructure and shared facilities within the proposed park. Commercial operations are yet to commence.
With this move, Le Merite Exports aims to expand beyond its core textile export business and strengthen its presence in the high-value technical textiles ecosystem.
The associate company was incorporated on July 8, 2026, with an authorised and paid-up share capital of ₹1 lakh. Le Merite Exports holds a 35% equity stake through the subscription of 3,500 equity shares. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation on the same day.
Le Merite Exports is a vertically integrated textile manufacturer engaged in the production of cotton yarn and greige fabrics. Operating under the Le Merite brand, the company exports its products to nearly 37 countries, including Bangladesh, China, Turkey, Portugal, Egypt, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, Peru, the UAE and the United States.
The company currently generates annual export revenue of over ₹400 crore (US$41.94 million) and has set a target of achieving ₹1,000 crore (US$104.85 million) in export revenue within the next two years.
