ABLBL Reports 46% Growth in Q1 Standalone Profit, Plans 300+ New Stores in FY27
Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd. (ABLBL) posted a strong start to FY27, reporting a 45.79% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit to Rs 31.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, driven by healthy revenue growth and improved operating performance.
Standalone revenue from operations rose 11.32% to Rs 2,048.86 crore, compared with Rs 1,840.58 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26. Standalone net profit increased from Rs 21.4 crore to Rs 31.2 crore during the same period.
On a consolidated basis, the company reported net profit of Rs 29.02 crore, up 20.62% year-on-year, while consolidated revenue from operations climbed 11.15% to Rs 2,045.74 crore.
Consolidated EBITDA grew 14% year-on-year to Rs 327 crore, with the operating EBITDA margin improving to 16.0%, reflecting better operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, ABLBL plans to open more than 300 gross stores during FY27, with a strong focus on expanding across Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities. The company expects these smaller markets to contribute nearly 20% of total revenue over the next few years, up from around 15% currently, supported by smaller-format stores and localized product assortments.
The company also intends to strengthen its premium portfolio through enhanced fabrics, product innovation, and improved designs to drive long-term growth.
While ABLBL anticipates higher logistics costs and rising minimum wages to put pressure on margins, it expects to offset these challenges through calibrated price increases and reduced promotional spending in its e-commerce business.
Additionally, the company said its emerging businesses—including Reebok, American Eagle, and its innerwear segment—are expected to improve profitability as they scale, complementing the continued growth of established brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Peter England, and Allen Solly.
