Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services Limited (UMPESL), a subsidiary of Voltas Limited, has entered into a strategic agreement with Japan’s renowned embroidery machine manufacturer, Tajima Industries Ltd. This partnership will enhance UMPESL’s marketing and sales of Tajima’s advanced embroidery machinery in India.
Tajima, established in 1944, is a leader in the embroidery industry and has developed cutting-edge embroidery machines incorporating AI technology. With its innovative solutions being utilised across sectors such as automotive and aerospace, the company aims to revolutionise the embroidery business from both hardware and software perspectives.
The collaboration is set to expand both UMPESL and Tajima’s presence in India’s growing textile industry. According to Pradip Roy, Head of the Textile Machinery Division at UMPESL, this partnership will allow them to provide high-quality embroidery machines to meet diverse market needs. Tajima’s management expressed their excitement about bringing advanced embroidery solutions to India, a market poised for significant growth.
