Vietnam is strengthening its position as a strategic textile manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, with increasing emphasis on sustainability, digitalisation, and supply chain transparency.
Supporting this transformation, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2027 will be held from 24–26 February 2027 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
As one of ASEAN’s leading textile trade platforms, VIATT covers the entire textile value chain—from raw materials and fabrics to garments, technical textiles, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The exhibition connects global buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers while promoting cross-border sourcing and long-term business partnerships.
The 2026 edition attracted nearly 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions and recorded over 17,000 visits from 54 international markets. National pavilions from China, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, and Türkiye, along with more than 350 business matching meetings, highlighted the event’s growing international reach and sourcing potential.
According to Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Vietnam’s textile industry is entering a new phase where growth will be driven by innovation, value creation, and ESG compliance rather than production volume. VIATT 2027 is designed to support this shift by bringing together sustainable materials, production technologies, and international market opportunities within one integrated platform.
Vietnam’s textile and garment sector generated over US$22 billion in exports during the first half of 2026 and is targeting US$48 billion for the full year. As the industry seeks to reduce its dependence on imported raw materials and increase domestic value addition, the exhibition will provide solutions that strengthen regional sourcing, productivity, and greener manufacturing practices.
VIATT 2027 will feature three dedicated sectors: Apparel Fabrics & Fashion, Home & Contract Textiles, and Technical Textiles & Technologies. The event will also continue its focus on sustainability through the Econogy Hub and Econogy Check, showcasing certified sustainable fibres, recycled materials, circular production solutions, and traceability systems that help exporters meet evolving global compliance standards.
Industry participants have also highlighted the importance of the exhibition’s integrated approach. William Yip, Raw Materials Lead at Mountain Equipment Company, Canada, noted that Vietnam’s growing focus on innovative materials and supply chain traceability makes VIATT an essential platform for brands seeking visibility across the entire textile value chain—from yarn and fabric suppliers to garment manufacturers.
