India in dialogue with US for bilateral trade agreement: Piyush Goyal

India
India is in dialogue with the US for a bilateral trade agreement, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has reiterated.

Goyal also highlighted that India is broadening its global trade footprint, having already finalised FTAs with Mauritius, Australia (first tranche), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) bloc, the UK, and the UAE, while negotiations continue with the EU, Chile, Peru, New Zealand, Australia (second tranche), and Oman, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a press release.

This was said by the minister at Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) 20th Global Sustainability Summit in New Delhi, today. The discussions, which began in March, have already seen five rounds completed.
