PM MITRA Park in Dhar Moves Forward as Third-Phase Industrial Land Allocation Nears
The development of the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, is gaining momentum, with authorities preparing to launch the third phase of industrial land allotments as infrastructure work progresses steadily across the project.
Located near Bhainsola in Badnawar, the integrated textile park spans around 2,156 acres and is being developed with an investment of approximately ₹2,063 crore. According to the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), more than 1,100 acres of land have already been allocated to industries during the first two phases of development.
The project has attracted investment proposals worth over ₹20,000 crore, which are expected to generate more than 46,000 employment opportunities. Once fully operational, the park is set to transform the Indore-Dhar region into a major textile and garment manufacturing destination in India.
Construction of core infrastructure within the park is nearing completion. Internal road networks, water supply systems, drainage facilities, and other essential civil works are in their final stages. Development is also underway for several shared facilities, including a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), testing laboratory, incubation centre, Common Facility Centre, and plug-and-play industrial sheds.
The park has already completed its external power infrastructure and secured an electricity distribution licence, ensuring reliable power supply for future industrial units.
Several garment manufacturers, including Arvind Group, OFB Tech, Nysaa, and Jhil, are expanding operations in the broader Indore region, further strengthening the textile ecosystem. Products manufactured from these facilities are expected to serve both domestic and international markets, including leading fashion brands.
To improve logistics and export connectivity, the PM MITRA Park has been linked to the National Highway network and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through a dedicated four-lane access road.
The project is also drawing international interest. A delegation of Taiwanese industry representatives recently visited the site to explore potential investment opportunities, reflecting growing confidence in the park’s long-term prospects.
State authorities are now focused on accelerating the completion of the remaining infrastructure and facilitating further industrial investments, reinforcing the PM MITRA Park’s role in advancing India’s textile manufacturing ambitions.
