Andhra Pradesh Showcases Textile Heritage and Investment Potential at Bharat Tex 2026
Andhra Pradesh is set to showcase its textile industry, handloom heritage, investment opportunities and export capabilities at Bharat Tex 2026, scheduled to take place from July 14 to 17 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The state government expects its participation to attract fresh investments, strengthen export linkages, expand market access and accelerate the growth of Andhra Pradesh’s textile ecosystem.
According to an official statement, the Department of Handlooms and Textiles has established an expanded Andhra Pradesh Pavilion in Hall No. 9 of the exhibition. Organised by the Union Ministry of Textiles, Bharat Tex 2026 is one of the world’s largest textile exhibitions, bringing together manufacturers, exporters, buyers, investors, technology providers and international delegations.
Aligned with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of positioning Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for textile manufacturing and investment, the pavilion will highlight the state’s strengths across handlooms, textiles, apparel and garment manufacturing. The exhibition will also feature textile parks, GI-tagged products, One District One Product (ODOP) initiatives, export-oriented industries and traditional weaving clusters.
The government said Handlooms and Textiles Minister S. Savitha has been promoting initiatives to preserve Andhra Pradesh’s handloom heritage, improve market access and create new opportunities for weavers and textile entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, Special Chief Secretary R. P. Sisodia is overseeing efforts to enhance investment promotion and strengthen the state’s textile ecosystem, while Commissioner Rekha Rani is coordinating the pavilion and facilitating the participation of entrepreneurs.
The Andhra Pradesh Pavilion will feature exhibitors including Guntur Textile Park, Tarakeswara Textile Park, Harish Fashions, APCO, along with 40 entrepreneurs and exporters representing Champion and Aspirational districts across the state.
