Epson Malaysia Introduces Industrial SC-F20030 Textile Printer with Faster Output
Epson Malaysia has introduced the SureColor SC-F20030 industrial dye-sublimation printer, designed to meet the growing demands of textile manufacturers seeking higher productivity, improved efficiency, and reduced downtime in both short-run and large-scale production environments.
The new model expands Epson’s 76-inch dye-sublimation printer lineup and is positioned above the SureColor SC-F11030, offering significantly higher output capabilities for industrial textile printing applications.
At the heart of the SC-F20030 are eight PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads arranged in a horizontal overlapping configuration, doubling the printhead count of its predecessor. This setup enables production speeds of up to 306 square metres per hour at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi across the full print width, making it suitable for high-volume textile operations.
The printer utilizes Epson’s UltraChrome DS Ink system, supported by 10-litre bulk ink packs with hot-swap functionality. This feature allows operators to replace empty ink packs without interrupting production, helping maintain continuous workflow during extended print runs.
To enhance print quality and operational reliability, the SC-F20030 incorporates a built-in drying system with double-sided heating that warms both sides of the transfer media during printing. The system helps minimize ink transfer issues and media wrinkling. Additionally, an integrated dust-reduction mechanism featuring an intake fan and media cleaner reduces dust accumulation and lowers the risk of nozzle clogging.
Epson has also focused on ease of maintenance by allowing operators to replace selected components, including printheads and anti-drying caps, without requiring a service technician. Onboard diagnostic tools further support efficient machine management and reduced downtime.
For manufacturers handling long production runs, optional jumbo roll and jumbo reel systems can accommodate media loads of up to 300 kilograms, reducing the need for frequent media changes and improving overall production efficiency.
The Epson SureColor SC-F20030 became available in Malaysia from July 1, 2026, with specifications and availability varying across different markets.
