Grasim Unveils Sustainable Scuba Knit Fabric Made with Livaeco Fibres
Grasim Industries has introduced a next-generation Scuba Knit fabric developed using Livaeco regenerated cellulosic fibres, marking another step toward sustainable and high-performance textile innovation. The new fabric has been developed by Grasim Plup, the company’s raw material division, in collaboration with its Textile Research and Development Center (TRADC).
Designed to meet the growing demand for premium knitwear, the Scuba Knit fabric combines a smooth surface, excellent shape retention, superior stretch recovery, and wrinkle resistance. These performance characteristics have made scuba knit one of the fastest-growing fabric categories in the global apparel industry.
Made with Livaeco regenerated cellulosic fibres, the fabric also supports the industry’s shift toward more environmentally responsible textile solutions without compromising on comfort or functionality.
