Jharkhand Unveils Draft Industrial and Textile Policies to Drive Investment and Employment

The Government of Jharkhand has released the draft versions of the Jharkhand Textile, Apparel & Footwear Policy 2026 and the Jharkhand Industrial Investment Promotion Policy (JIIPP) 2026, marking a significant step toward strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem and attracting fresh investments.

The draft policies have been published on the Jharkhand Single Window Portal, allowing industry stakeholders, policy experts, businesses, and citizens to review the proposals and submit feedback before they are finalized. The initiative reflects the government’s focus on transparent, participatory, and industry-driven policymaking.

According to the Directorate of Industries, the proposed policy frameworks are designed to enhance manufacturing competitiveness, promote exports, encourage private investment, and create large-scale employment opportunities across the state. The government aims to align the final policies with industry requirements, global best practices, and sustainable development objectives.

To gather further industry inputs and showcase Jharkhand’s investment potential, the state government will organize a two-day National Stakeholder Consultation Meet in New Delhi on July 8 and 9. The event will bring together leading industrialists, textile manufacturers, policy experts, and business leaders to discuss investment opportunities and recommend improvements to the proposed policies.

A dedicated feedback session, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on July 9, will focus on reviewing stakeholder recommendations and finalizing the policy direction. The consultation is expected to play a key role in shaping Jharkhand’s long-term industrial growth strategy.

The event will also feature the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners, paving the way for new investments, expanded industrial infrastructure, innovation-driven manufacturing, and increased employment opportunities across Jharkhand.

With these initiatives, Jharkhand aims to position itself as an emerging manufacturing and textile hub while creating a business-friendly environment that supports sustainable industrial growth and economic development.
