Sutlej Textiles Reports ₹1 Crore Profit in Q1 FY27, Marks Turnaround
Sutlej Textiles Returns to Profit in Q1 FY27 with ₹1 Crore Net Earnings

Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of value-added yarns, returned to profitability in the first quarter of FY27, reporting a consolidated net profit of ₹1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The result marks a significant improvement from the consolidated net loss of ₹30.10 crore reported in Q1 FY26. The company also reversed its sequential loss, having posted a net loss of ₹18.18 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2026.

The turnaround follows a challenging FY26, during which Sutlej Textiles recorded a cumulative consolidated net loss of ₹86.31 crore. The company attributed the improvement to cost-management measures and the stabilisation of operations at its Kathua manufacturing facility, which faced operational disruptions in mid-2025.

Sutlej Textiles said easing raw material and logistics costs also supported its operating performance during the quarter, helping improve margins and strengthen overall profitability.

The company’s return to the black marks an improvement in its financial performance as it continues to focus on operational efficiency, cost control and stabilising production across its manufacturing operations.

Meanwhile, Sutlej Textiles held its 21st Annual General Meeting on July 27, 2026. Shareholders approved the audited financial statements for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, along with other resolutions.

Separately, Jitender Kumar, Vice President – Raw Materials, resigned from the company with effect from July 17, 2026.
