Syre Announces Multi-Year Partnership With Nike To Scale Circular Polyester Recycling

Syre Nike circular polyester recycling
Syre, the textile impact company focused on hyperscaling textile-to-textile recycling, has announced a multi-year partnership with Nike, Inc., marking a significant step toward accelerating circular materials in the global apparel industry.

Under the agreement, Nike will begin integrating Syre’s circular polyester into key performance product lines over the coming years, with Syre serving as the brand’s lead strategic supplier for textile-to-textile recycled polyester. The collaboration reflects Nike’s push to scale sustainable material innovation and Syre’s mission to drive the transition to a circular textile ecosystem.

Both companies share a long-term goal of expanding the use of textile-derived fibres to support a closed-loop system where end-of-life garments become the raw material for next-generation performance gear. “Our partnership with Syre represents a shift in our materials strategy and how we source,” said Sitora Muzafarova, Nike’s Vice President of Materials Supply Chain. “Textile-to-textile recycled polyester is essential to our ambition to design products that deliver peak performance for athletes and are more sustainable at the same time.”

Syre CEO Dennis Nobelius said the collaboration marks a milestone in moving circular materials from concept to commercial reality at scale. “Having Nike commit to textile-to-textile generated polyester sends a powerful signal to the industry,” he said. “This is not a one-off initiative or capsule collection, this is circularity becoming the new normal.”
