Bengal Garment Expo Targets ₹1,600 Crore in Business with 1,000+ Brands

Kolkata, India: The 60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet and B2B Expo is expected to generate wholesale business worth around ₹1,600 crore as it brings together more than 1,000 national and international apparel brands under one roof in Kolkata.

Organised by the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association, the three-day event spans over 2 lakh sq. ft. of exhibition space and showcases a wide range of ready-made garments for men, women and children.

Association President Hari Kishan Rathi said the expo aims to provide a dynamic platform for manufacturers, wholesalers and buyers to connect, discover emerging market trends and expand their business networks. He expressed confidence that the event would facilitate business transactions worth nearly ₹1,600 crore.

With buyers participating from across India and overseas, the expo is expected to strengthen trade partnerships, open new business opportunities and further accelerate the growth of West Bengal’s garment and textile industry.

Honorary Secretary Devendra Baid highlighted that the garment industry remains one of the state’s largest employment generators and continues to play a vital role in West Bengal’s economic development.
