Confluxe Raises US $1.6 Million, Plans Major Global Fashion Brand Expansion in India

Bengaluru-based fashion platform Confluxe plans to introduce 10–12 international premium fashion and lifestyle brands to the Indian market over the next three years after raising US $1.6 million in pre-seed funding from Wavemaker Partners and Kriscore Capital.

The tech-enabled omnichannel platform acquires exclusive distribution and licensing rights for global brands, adopting an online-first approach to collect first-party consumer data before expanding into offline retail formats such as shop-in-shops and exclusive brand outlets.

Confluxe will focus on the premium fashion segment, offering products priced above ₹3,500 across categories including menswear, womenswear, denim, and outdoor lifestyle.

“We plan to bring 10–12 brands to India over the next three years, introducing three to five brands annually and building them for long-term growth,” said Louis Coucke, Co-founder of Confluxe.

The company has already signed two international brands, including Brazilian smartwear label Urban Performance and an American premium denim brand, which is scheduled to launch later this year with India-specific sizing and local manufacturing.

According to Coucke, Confluxe’s strategy begins with digital commerce to understand customer preferences before expanding into physical retail. “We always launch online first to build first-party data. After six to twelve months, once we understand the right product, pricing and customer behaviour, we expand into shop-in-shops or exclusive brand outlets,” he said.

Confluxe expects each brand in its portfolio to generate ₹100 crore in revenue within three to five years, targeting an EBITDA margin of around 10%. The company also plans to raise a seed funding round within the next 6–12 months to strengthen its technology platform, working capital, marketing capabilities, and team expansion.

Founded by former Myntra and AJIO executive Rajesh Narkar and former H&M India veteran Louis Coucke, Confluxe helps global fashion and lifestyle brands enter and scale in India through digital commerce, data-driven merchandising, and localized ‘Make in India’ supply chains.
