Uzbekistan and Poland Strengthen Textile Industry Partnership

Uzbekistan and Poland are taking steps to deepen cooperation in the textile and apparel sector as industry representatives from both countries explore new trade and investment opportunities.

A delegation from the Uztekstilprom Association, accompanied by representatives of Uzbekistan’s textile, garment, and knitwear enterprises, visited Poland to assess opportunities for expanding textile exports to European markets, with a particular focus on Poland.

The visit included a business forum organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland, bringing together more than 40 executives and representatives from leading Polish textile companies. The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing trade relations, attracting investments, and fostering collaboration in research and development activities.

During the meetings, Uzbekistan’s textile industry representatives showcased the country’s growing manufacturing capabilities and proposed initiatives aimed at streamlining the export of Uzbek textile products to Poland and other European Union markets.

Both sides exchanged insights on current industry trends and identified opportunities for long-term partnerships across textile production, apparel manufacturing, technology exchange, and innovation.

Following productive negotiations, the participants agreed to work toward creating favorable conditions for increasing textile trade between the two countries. The discussions also laid the groundwork for future agreements designed to facilitate market access and business cooperation.

The planned collaboration is expected to gain further momentum during the International Textile Exhibition “Fast Textile,” one of Poland’s leading textile industry events, where additional partnership agreements are anticipated.

The strengthened partnership highlights Uzbekistan’s ambitions to expand its textile exports globally while reinforcing Poland’s position as an important gateway to European textile markets.
