Filatex India Ltd. has taken a landmark step toward building a circular textile economy with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) alongside Revti Business Pvt. Ltd. and Wastewear Inc. (USA).
This marks Filatex’s first major collaboration in the circular economy, setting the stage for large-scale textile-to-textile recycling and sustainable innovation in India.
Under this partnership:
- Filatex India Ltd. will process textile feedstock into recycled PET chips and filament yarn, ensuring adherence to sustainability benchmarks and product quality standards.
- Revti Business Pvt. Ltd. will supply high-quality sorted textile waste and act as a preferred customer for the recycled outputs.
- Wastewear Inc., a US-based sustainability leader, will facilitate imports of textile waste into India and lead international marketing and co-branding eƯorts under the “ecosis” yarn brand.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to scaling textile recycling infrastructure in India while aligning with global sustainability goals,” said Mr. Madhu Sudhan Bhageria, CMD of Filatex India Ltd.
Together, the three partners will work on:
- Structured procurement of high-polyester-content textile waste
- Collaborative R&D for recycled staple fibre
- Co-branded product innovation and campaigns
- Strategic engagement on sustainability policies
This collaboration signifies more than an MoU, it’s the beginning of a new chapter in India’s textile story, one where waste becomes opportunity and sustainability drives value creation.
