Uttar Pradesh Plans Six Textile Parks to Attract ₹10,000 Crore Investment and Boost Industrial Growth

The Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled plans to develop six textile parks across approximately 1,500 acres as part of its strategy to strengthen the state’s manufacturing ecosystem, attract investments, and generate employment opportunities.

The proposed projects are expected to draw investments of more than ₹10,000 crore, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a major destination for textile and apparel manufacturing in India. The initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of accelerating industrial growth and expanding its contribution to the national textile sector.

The planned textile parks will provide modern infrastructure and integrated facilities to support textile production, garment manufacturing, processing, and related industries. By creating dedicated industrial clusters, the government aims to improve operational efficiency, attract domestic and international investors, and encourage the expansion of textile businesses.

Industry experts believe the development of these parks could significantly enhance Uttar Pradesh’s competitiveness in the textile sector, while also creating thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities. The initiative is expected to benefit the entire textile value chain, from raw material processing and fabric manufacturing to apparel production and exports.

The project also complements ongoing efforts by the government to promote industrialization through improved infrastructure, policy support, and investment-friendly initiatives. With global sourcing patterns shifting and demand for diversified manufacturing locations increasing, Uttar Pradesh is seeking to position itself as a key hub for textile and apparel production.

Once operational, the textile parks are expected to contribute to regional economic development, strengthen supply chains, and support India’s growing ambitions in the global textile and apparel market.
