Fabindia has expanded its fashion portfolio with the launch of Fabels, a new western wear sub-brand designed to blend contemporary global styles with India’s rich artisanal heritage.
Positioned for consumers seeking modern fashion infused with traditional craftsmanship, Fabels is built around the concept of the “Global Traveller with an Indian Soul.” The brand aims to offer versatile wardrobe essentials that combine global aesthetics with handcrafted Indian design elements.
The debut collection features a wide range of apparel for both men and women across casual, business casual and occasion wear categories. The women’s line includes dresses, tops, shirts, camisoles, meditation pants, avenue pants and linen trousers, while the men’s collection comprises straight- and slim-fit shirts, Cuban shirts, drawstring pants, layering jackets and twill shorts.
In addition to apparel, Fabels offers a curated range of accessories, including silver jewellery, jute tote bags, leather sling bags, footwear and handcrafted silk stoles.
Several pieces in the collection showcase traditional Indian textile techniques such as Ajrakh, indigo and Dabu printing, alongside Dori hand embroidery, reflecting the brand’s commitment to preserving artisanal craftsmanship.
Commenting on the launch, Ajay Kapoor, President – Retail at Fabindia, said that Fabels is designed for global consumers who appreciate modern craftsmanship while valuing the heritage and stories behind Indian artisanal traditions.
