Winsome Textile Expands Dyeing Capacity, Modernises Spinning Facilities

Winsome Textile Industries Ltd has approved a capital expenditure plan of approximately Rs 170 crore aimed at expanding production capacity, modernising operations and strengthening environmental infrastructure across its manufacturing facilities.

The investment, approved by the company’s Board of Directors, will focus on upgrading spinning operations through the installation of advanced machinery and equipment. The project also includes the expansion of the company’s dye house capacity to meet growing demand for value-added yarn products.

As part of its sustainability initiatives, Winsome Textile will enhance its environmental infrastructure by increasing effluent recycling capacity, upgrading its existing Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and improving sludge handling systems.

Following the completion of the project, the company’s spinning capacity is expected to increase from 108,288 spindles to 110,352 spindles. Annual dyeing capacity for yarn and fibre will rise significantly from 12,715 metric tonnes to 15,972 metric tonnes.

Currently, the spinning unit operates at 93 per cent capacity utilisation, while the dyeing unit runs at 86 per cent utilisation, indicating strong demand for the company’s products.

The expansion and modernisation project is scheduled to be completed by 31 March and will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt financing.

According to the company, the enhanced production capabilities and expanded dyeing capacity will strengthen its product portfolio, support the acquisition of higher-value customers and enable it to secure additional order volumes in domestic and international markets.
